As we're slowly but surely easing into our Latin American life, we've tried to take a advantage of a bit of what Panama City has to offer, mostly in the form of the out-of-doors. On Sunday mornings, a few big streets along the ocean are closed to traffic to allow locals to enjoy more pedestrian modes of transportation like bicycles, roller blades, and feet. We've explored the city by bike two weekends this month. We've also continued to explore crumbling Casco Viejo. This month we also hosted our first shindig for nineteen of our fellow new teachers and partners. The chili was decent, the pool table was popular, and the company didn't get too wild and crazy. We'll try harder (and make more sangria) next time! No promises, but we're hoping to be a bit more consistent with the blogging. We shall see.
